This is a full-time role to work remotely from Mexico City with a UK-based digital agency.

Role

We are seeking a talented and driven QA Engineer to join our (QE) Quality engineering team. Our mission in the QE team is to revolutionise the OTT industry by providing innovative and reliable test and automation solutions. We will do this by creating cutting-edge tools that reduce time-to-market while improving employee experience.

As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and executing test plans and test cases, writing automation scripts, and finding and reporting defects. You will work closely with developers to ensure that our technology is built to the highest quality standards and that defects are caught early in the development cycle.

You are a dependable and collaborative member of the QA and wider FX team, able to communicate competently and follow processes while having the desire to innovate with regard to their personal development needs, tools and opportunities that contribute towards increased professional knowledge and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Involved in the full test life cycle (requirements analysis, test case definition, tools/documentation, execution, defect capture and reporting).
  • Writing automated and manual test cases for our custom test technology solutions.
  • Testing new features and executing regular regression cycles
  • Enforce and uphold the quality assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Hold themselves and colleagues accountable for the standard of work that is released, ensuring it meets both aesthetic and functional requirements.
  • Thorough documentation of test plans and test cases and the maintenance of these.
  • Report and prioritise bugs and issues raised in a variety of channels.
  • Proactively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with the QE team to implement broader automation coverage across current and future projects.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English.
  • 1+ years of relevant professional experience of working in a wider team with multiple concurrent projects.
  • Some previous experience with Javascript or another language.
  • Experience writing both Manual and automated test cases.
  • Excellent time-management skills.
  • Able to effectively communicate, written and verbally, to all levels within the business.
  • Experience with version control and workflows.
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Able to demonstrate great attention to detail, care and accuracy while maintaining the speed of work to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with issue-tracking tools such as Jira.
  • Experience with test-automation suites.

Desirable:

  • ISTQB qualifications.
  • Experience with CI/CD
